Rowena Williamson lives on Whidbey Island in Washington State and is a reader and editor for Literary Agent Andrea Hurst. Her poems and short stories have been published in a number of anthologies and have won prizes in various competitions. Her novel MacGregor’s Bargain, under the title The Road to Culloden, was a finalist at the 2010 PNWA Writers Conference. She has studied Scottish and American history, using 18th Century sources for her books.
Rowena is an omnivorous reader, especially of mysteries and historical novels, history and biography. Her Bibliomania site reflects her interests and her side trips to chick lit, young adult and whatever strikes her fancy at the moment.
She travels when she can and uses her experiences to give depth to her writing.
Rowena lives with her two Scottish deerhounds, Taz and Fingal, who keep her busy when she’s not writing or reading.
